Monthly after church, dads and their kids of all ages get together for lunch and a fun activity. We have done pumpking planting, pinata making, trout fishing, geo-caching, game/movie day, pizza making (and EATING!) party, cookie baking, and many more.
We also have a Youth Dessert Contest in March, Vacation Bible School and Free Family Fun Fair in summer, and a Harvest Party every fall. At Christmas, we have a Living Nativity in which the youth can participate first hand in recounting the First Christmas Ever! The Youth Chorus begins rehearsing in the fall for a presentation after the Living Nativity.
There are three Sunday School classes we offer for youth right now. The Preschool class covers the most basic of Bible concepts, and we work on learning Bible verses set to Nursery Rhyme songs. The Early Elementary class serves children from Kindergarten through Second Grade, learning more Bible verses and more advanced Bible concepts and applications. In the Youth class, Third Graders and up delve into more intense Bible principles, applying them to life choices and attitudes.
On Wednesday nights at 6, we have Game Time. In the winter, the kids like to play board games inside with the grown-ups. However, when the weather is nice, they can be found outside playing kickball, dodgeball, or tag.
